To make a 60-second film you will need:

Access to PC or Mac computer

Editing software, we recommend that you download free Microsoft Photo Story 3 for Windows PC, as long as your PC is running a legal version of Windows XP. Click here to download

On your PC, you'll also need to install the latest free version of Windows Media player (version 10) available from the Microsoft website. There are many other packages available, but most require payment.

If you're using a Mac, you can use iPhoto to create a quick and easy slideshow.

To making an online poster you will need:

Digital stills camera

Access to the your computer, the Internet and to the Participate website

Adobe Reader so that you can view your poster. Click here to install Adobe Reader

Use the guidelines and template on the Participate website to make your poster

To collecting sensed data and visualise the data via the web you will need to:

  • Install Jdata3D
  • Install Datadisc Pt
  • Install drivers for the USB ports

Once you have installed the above software you will be able to upload data to the Participate website and connectivity to the Internet.
