We have an Eco-Action Team who are undertaking a number of projects around the site to improve the quality of the environment. In addition to energy saving and recycling we have also introduced a wildlife garden, a vegetable plot and composting facilities.
We have several new projects to start this year, bird and bat boxes to build, ponds to reinstate and look at the possibility of renewable energy.
Environmental Location:
Ponteland is in a semi urban setting. It has extensive grounds and playing fields. It is located near to the flight path of Newcastle International Airport, we have noise sensing equipment on site. We share our site with the local High School and hope to work closely with them to imprve the quality of the site.
