Students on the NPTC Entry Vocational Land Based Skills course at Wiltshire College Lackham have taken up the Participate Team's 'Improve our Environment' Mission. When the river on their campus flooded earlier this year, a lot of rubbish was washed up in the fields. When the floods receded, the rubbish remained, posing a danger to the wildlife and farm animals. The group, together with Helen, their teacher, decided to do something about it. They collected all the rubbish in the field and counted it. The most common things they found were plastic drinks bottles, so please do think of the animals, and take care how you dispose of YOUR drinks bottles!
