Carbon Monoxide Measuring

Carbon monoxide is when there is an incomplete combustion due to a lack of oxygen. This means that when the fuel burns instead of forming carbon dioxide and water, it also forms carbon monoxide. Therefore we can use carbon monoxide to measure the amount of pollution.
In our experiment we decided to measure the amounts of carbon monoxide between the Hayesfield Upper and Lower school as we are situated on a main road, we are also looking at how different vehicles effect the monoxide levels.
